Assisted living elderly
An independent senior is an elderly person still able to live and function in an apartment without assistance, but still wants the security provided by the support team at the residence. An assisted living elderly person is possibly invalid or otherwise requires help for a number of different daily needs. Place Sanborn offers independent senior living, but also offers assisted elderly living.
Senior independent living
A residence for seniors living independently has the same configuration as other rooms, and a senior will have access to the same set of resources such as kitchen services. Retaining their independence and private life is always a priority for our elderly residents. In addition, assisted elderly residents receive the attention and aid they require to maintain an excellent quality of life.
Year after year, the demand living quarters well suited for seniors and the elderly continues to grow. According to the action plan for 2005-2010 for assisted elderly living (french only, translated): “It would be unreasonable and inefficient to confide the entire responsibility of care [for the elderly ... ] to the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux and its network”. Therfore Place Sanborn and other senior homes will need to tackle the issue of serving the elderly and maintain a quality of life for Quebec seniors in the future.
